PhD candidates and MA Graduates from eight European universities, partners of the GovUnet (University of the Aegean –coordinator-, University of Luxembourg, Catholic University of Louvain , University of Cadiz , University of Siegen, University of Cluj Napoca, University of Piraeus and Panteion University), under the coordination of the Academic partners of the GovUnet, presented their academic working papers prepared, and covered topics which have recently regained prominence in the scholarly literature as well as in popular debates. They prepared their Working Papers for the workshop, and separated to groups of two discussants. They exchanged their working papers and studied them. During the Workshop, each participant presented their work, and referred to the questions/remarks/comments etc they had prepared for their discussant that led in a fruitful debate between them. The Working Papers resulted a published Academic Working Papers volume.
In that way, they had the opportunity to benefit from important networking opportunities and evolve in an international academic environment. Being encouraged to present their results to international audiences, they are being prepared for a career in academia.
